While nearly 20 states showed positive job growth since June 2009, Alabama continued to leak jobs out of the state. In fact, according to the report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Alabama lost 14, 500 jobs since June 2009. This represents a net loss of nearly one percent (.77%) of the entire workforce in Alabama in one year. This percentage loss places the Alabama economy within the top 10 for job loss (42nd).
